I was contacted by Couper’s family who had seen my work at many Fort Wayne summer dog events. Because of Couper’s age and decline in heath we worked him in “emergently” into my schedule – this is usually how our Faithful Friend Sessions get scheduled. *appended: Once again, we are so thankful that we did because Couper got his wings 10 days after our photography session with him. Couper went peacefully at his home. Lots of pet parents wonder if getting photographs of their fur-baby done during their last years/months is a good idea or if it will be too hard to look at those photographs. Let me assure you, after time, you will long and cling to those photographs of your fur-baby – no one has ever had any regrets, the only regrets I hear are that they never did have a nice portrait of their pet. Couper’s session took place on a beautiful fall day, look at those beautiful leaves and that sweet white mug!
Couper looks so handsome is his bomber jacket. He was such a ham for the camera!
Couper’s love of the tennis ball was evident during our session – this senior dog still has a spunk for life! For all our sessions, we try and have the pet parents bring something that has special meaning to them and their dog, this really personalizes the session. Tennis ball, wiggly toy and bomber jacket – Couper’s family really have lots of special memories captured in photographs to be treasured for ever! I love how different photographs can bring different emotions and remind us of all the ways and reasons we love our pet!
Couper was a trouper… Couper has the perfect color for the fall. As always, I love to get a quick photograph with my new friend – it was a pleasure to spend my afternoon with you Couper 🙂
Couper, you are missed and will be in our hearts forever!
