Clyde – the Pit Bull mix

I was thrilled to find out that one of my dog-friends, Lisa, had just adopted a dog(formerly Loki – renamed Clyde) from Fort Wayne Animal Care and Control and she wanted a photography session with us!  I had the pleasure of photographing Lisa’s older dog, Adeshka – you can view her post here.  Since Clyde was adopted to his forever home in Feb/March, we decided to wait a month for the weather to warm a little since we had a long and cold winter. Clyde’s mom, Lisa, wanted a unique and urban setting for his session – which was a perfect idea for a “boys” photography session. We hit the streets of downtown Fort Wayne to find some unique old and brick buildings and architecture. Lisa had a specific building in mind for at least a few of the images – I love that we were able to incorporate some specific meaning to the images for Lisa! This was one of my favorite session locations and Clyde was the perfect subject! When taking a dog outside of his normal dwelling, home and backyard, you really need a dog that has some manners and is not overly stimulated. Clyde did an amazing job! As with all my sessions, safety of the dog and humans is my number one priority therefore Clyde was on leash at ALL times. This does make for a little more work for me on the post-production end of things, but it is well worth it. Lisa was very patient in getting her images back for proofing – I hand edit all the images to perfect lighting, tone and leash-removal.

Now let me tell you a little bit about Clyde, not only is he so handsome but he is so well behaved and such a sweetheart! I have many “favorite images” from this session, but I think this is my #1! Look how the brick wall color matches his beautiful light-green eyes! Melt my heart…

I LOVE this image too – simple and timeless. He looks very curious here, I bet I was talking to him – he really looks like he is trying to understand what I am saying 🙂

This fur-ball is pretty laid back and looks quite serious, but he is very fun and playful too! After a long morning(less than 2 hours) modeling, this pooch could barely keep his eyes open – it was the cutest thing! His older and wiser sister Adeshka lasted much longer than he 😉

It is obvious that his momma is smitten and he is as well! LOVE this sweet moment of Clyde snuggling with his momma!

Clyde is such a ham that he even has his own facebook page! Click here and LIKE him to follow his adventures!

It was a pleasure photographing this sweet-pittie 🙂  He breaks all the misconceptions of the breed and shelter dogs!
