Big adventures for our Scottie Dog, Dylan! {Duncan and Dylan are my fur-brothers and are the fur-kids of Mike and Betsy Stevens}
Below you will find our adventures with Vera Bradley in chronological order starting March 2016.
Exciting news coming to Vera Bradley designs… they are coming out with a Scottie Dog print this year! 🙂
Through a mutual connection, I was put in contact with Vera Bradley who was requesting a real live Scottie Dog! Vera Bradley is launching a Scottie Dog print pattern for the 2016 Holiday Season. This month, they had their annual national sales meeting at their home-base in Roanoke, IN – just a jog from Fort Wayne. At this big sales meeting they announce new patterns/product etc. for the year. Since they were announcing the new Scottie Dog pattern, they thought it would be fun to have a real live Scottie come on stage for the big reveal! I was thrilled at the opportunity to be a part of the big reveal. As a dog-lover, with a special place in my heart for Scotties, this was such a thrill!
The Scottie dog image and silhouette is such a classic image. Even those who are not Scottie Dog owners, are drawn to the image and the classic statement that it makes. Several years ago, Vera Bradley had a cute colorful Scottie Dog keychain, and at that time I wondered why they had never rolled out a full line of Scottie Dog pattern.
There is another well known purse company who had a Scottie Dog print for their purse line and it was a huge hit among us Scottie lovers! In case you didn’t know, there is a huge community of Scottie lovers who not only love their real live Scottie Dogs, but LOVE anything that is “Scottified”! Once these folks find out about this pattern this fall/holiday season, they will snarf these up! 3/2016 ~ Vera Bradley National Sales Meeting, one of our Scotties, Dylan, made the perfect appearance! He is so handsome and friendly.
Here we are “primping” for his big debut out on the stage! A big red bow was the perfect touch!
Prior to him coming out on stage, they held a giveaway and a few of the attendees won a beautiful Vera Bradley bag(Sycamore)Duffel Travel Bag! Let the cheering begin!

It was fun to watch all the excitement in the room about the new pattern for the 2016 Holiday, the Vera Bradley Scottie Dog pattern, and our Dashing Dylan did not disappoint!

End of August 2016 ~ We were contacted to come to Vera Bradley’s home-base for a test photo shoot for Dylan in their photography studio! He spent some time in the studio sniffing and checking out all their equipment(as a photographer, I so jealous!), they did a couple test-shots to see how he would do in front of the camera, and fortunately, he did great(he is obviously used to being photographed :)) – which means they want him to come back for a full day of photographing him with the Scottie Dogs merchandise! They may use some of the images for their marketing ads when the “Scottie Dogs” print is released to the public!

Mid September 2016 ~ After a nice groom, Dylan was back to the Vera Bradley studio for his photo shoot! It was so fun to see all the Scottie Dog products that might make the final cut for production – purse/tote bag(of course), slippers/robe/pjs, stationary and throw blanket! The entire Vera Bradley staff was wonderful and getting to “rub shoulders” with an amazing and well-known creative team was an experience I will never forget!

October 20, 2016 ~ The Scottie Dogs Vera Bradley print is finally released and we anxiously await seeing our super star Dylan featured!
